Limited Edition 2011 State Fair Art Print
Eighth in a series of original art created exclusively for the Minnesota State Fair, Steve Thomas' interpretation of the Great Minnesota Get-Together captures iconic elements of the fair and is based largely on photos he took. Much of Thomas' artistic inspiration comes from advertising art and vintage travel posters from the early to mid-20th century. He was selected as the official artist from nearly 80 applicants in the State Fair's first-ever Commemorative Art Call for Submissions.
The purchase of State Fair merchandise featuring Thomas' unique style supports the mission of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation 501(c)(3) to preserve and improve the historic Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
