You guys know Dave Choe. The dude is infamous in the art world for his raw and dirty style - from his comics, sketchbooks (which we've sold here before), prints (like that Obama "HOPE" image and the insane 18 color Burlesque joint), his many appearances on VICE TV and DVDs, and now his very first full scale toy - "Choegal." The toy is loosely based on one of his fine art paintings depicting a cutie with two vicious rottweilers, and is made completely of wooden mechanical parts (no plastic for all you environmentally conscious folk). I had the chance to see the proto-type of this toy at Dave's place and I must say they did a damn good job. Each one of these things is hand-painted and crafted to resemble Dave's complex art style with several layers of paint and ink applied all over. The coolest part is you can change the facial expression with a twist of the beanie pom (kinda like that He-Man dude Manny Faces) - she has a happy, sad, and angry mug. Spring joints in the arm let you pose her however you want. Comes in a "dirty style" box featuring the original painting.
