Agree on this one. From what I understand, the artists of that era got paid very little for their work, and were not the copyright holders. I could be wrong though. So they're trying to make some ducats on their "name" , since they're not geting it on the older art they created.

I don't own any old school posters, but if I did I wouldn't mind paying for a signature. It's a way of giving back to the artist. These guys didn't have a retirement plan or health insurance and to my knowlege, most signed away rights to future procedes from their creations.
What I have seen of Wes' work is quite impressive. There is a line of continuity from early 20th centry illustration through the hight of 60's psychodelia that runs strait to todays best gig art. These guys carried the torch until the modern masters of out time were prepared to take it further.

electrachrome make me an offer on my Bonnie McCleans or Kelly /Mouses and you can get some old school stuff .
to me it seems that , at the time they we're happy about it but when times shifted and the work dried up thats when they changed their atittude, especially after when the market for their posters went up . Human nature

That is a tuff one......I'm leaning towards Griffin but collect all and will gladly pay for a sigsunsetbrew wrote:This is one of the great classic rock artists in my opinion. If I had to pick one artist's work out of Kelly, Griffin, Mouse, Singer, and Moscoso and I would pick Wes. Granted each of those artist were truely remarkable talents.

That one (and the sale of) was passed on my the kind folk at sixtiesposters.com. It'll cost you some, but you could always go for the reprint...
For the last Beatles show ever, price was a lot lower than I thought it would have been.
