"I have always had a soft spot for The Godfather Part III. The ending is just so perfect, a reversed pietà set on the stairs of the Opera in Palermo, which obviously refers to the main theme of the movie, Catholicism and its procession of symbols; Guilt, Sacrifice, Redemption, Punishment, etc. It’s so very rich in interpretations and symbols. In my poster Vincent is becoming the new Godfather, with Michael giving his “crown†to Vincent. At last, Michael is out, wanting to resume his life, away from violence, treasons, strategies and politics… But someone’s gotta pay for all his sins…" - Laurent Durieux
