Kukryniksy is the pseudonym of three Soviet artists who produced oil paintings, but were famous for their social and political caricatures in newspapers and periodicals, primarily for the Soviet State run newspaper Pravda.

Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiri Krylov, and Nikolai Sokolov met while attending the Moscow art school VKhUTEMAS, a Russian acronym for "Higher Art and Technical Studios" in the early 1920s. They began working under their collectice pseudonym in 1924.

Kukryniksy became famous in the late 1930s and especially during the Second World War for their propaganda pieces mocking Axis leaders. Their works in propaganda continued through the Cold War, where they focused their criticisms on American and NATO nations and their activities. They were also prolific book illustrators for books of classic Russian literature.
