BOSTON, Massachusetts – “Editing is art,” is the impetus behind Peel&Eat’s first annual Artist Series. This yearly, promotional campaign features the work of artists selected by Peel&Eat partners, Pete Warren and Joel Walker. Each artist series will be accompanied by the production of documentary shorts and corresponding branded prints. As part of this promotion, Peel&Eat is giving away a limited number of prints through social media.

“As editors, art fuels our creativity and evolves our work. This artist series gives us a unique branding approach that reflects our passion,” says Pete Warren. The first annual Artist Series features Chicago-based print artist, Jim Pollock, whose internationally renowned prints were made famous by the band Phish.

The featured print has an edition of 75. It is a 6-color, Linoleum block print that measures 12”x12”, printed using the Vandercook 320G hand proof press. Each of the 75 prints are signed and numbered by the artist. “I had a lot of fun with this. It’s a crazy image,” says Jim Pollock. From Jim Pollock:

My friend Jay Patton from Dictionary Films has been taking video of me in working on my art in my studio. While he was shooting this footage, I was making a print for a production company in Boston called Peel and Eat. So, this is a short video about this funny little print I made for them. I’m now printing on a Vandercook 320g, which is featured in the video. I want to thank Pete Warren for a great gig and Jay for this wonderful documentation.

“We are excited to offer our clients exclusive works of art, and we want them to feel the same excitement while working with us,” says Joel Walker. For more information on how to enter for a free, limited edition print, please follow Peel&Eat on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Winners will be selected on Friday, June 20th, 2014 via random drawing.
