Mixed media on unstretched canvas
A moment of silence, as another neighborhood becomes the sanctuary of a broken dream. My soul fractured, as my silent tears disappear as they descend to the ground. These days there's not enough merry to go around in my playground. Yeah, I remember push faster, and push higher, and hide-and-go-seek. Yet now I'm recalling profane scrawlings, and violent brawlings, mixed and blended over hypnotic beats. And the honor role student playing quite a different role as his or her blood mixes and blends with the dirt in the streets. Mamas, and old folk praying, mixed and blended with the sound of kids playing, and I paint as another innocent child becomes a saint.. - TMNK
