The second print release from my "Grandpa's Bedtime Stories" series is a light and humorous take on a rather serious issue: dirty water kills more people than any form of violence, including war.

If you're reading this, you're probably living in a place where water is abundant, and in a country where it is taken for granted that water will flow in the sink or shower at the turn of a knob. We’re so spoiled by this abundance we scoff at it, wasting gallons at a time as we wash dishes or cars or driveways, buying drinking water in plastic bottles shipped from distant filtering and bottling plants, as if what flows from our taps is not drinkable.

This was an issue that was very dear to my grandfather. After returning from Vietnam, he dedicated most of his life and money to getting clean water to people in the most impoverished country. Growing up, it was an issue I never understood and in all honesty hated because it meant a lot of holidays and birthdays would be missed by both Grandpa and Grandma. But now, almost half a century later, life has gone full circle. Without going into details, I'll say the same "unmonitored and unsafe" water crisis still exist today. I vowed to do something about it 4 years ago and I'm proud to say that I'm still at it.

Both regular and variant are 18"x24" hand pulled screen prints. Hand numbered and signed. Regular edition of 50. Variant edition of 20.
