Did you know that Omar of Surly Brewing Company helped to create a bill that allows breweries to have tap rooms and sell pints of beer to their customers? Did you know that even though he spearheaded the campaign/bill, that Surly still wasn't able to open up a tap room in their brewery in Brooklyn Center? Well, finally after a year or so and some red tape and covering up a mural on the top of their building, Omar and Surly Brewing were successful and opened up their tap room in mid June of 2013.
