Original sketch in pencil on Paper of the large scale Mural ROA did for the Unit44 White Walls Project
More unique in that he has incorporated some colour into the sketch (reflecting what he did with the mural)
From the Unit44 Blog :-
"After meeting in New York the previous year we were adamant in getting this Belgian artist to feature in our project. Having already become somewhat a household name Roa confirmed to make the trip to Newcastle on the back of his world tour.
A man with paint constantly on his hands he had big plans for this gable end. Utilising the physical features of the wall he set off single-handed in completing the Four Horses mural. Again enduring wind & rain he doubled his layers and occasionally took cover inside for a smoke.
It’s hard to push an artist like Roa, he’s used to going huge and seems un-phased by scale, however we were the first to see colour. It was an exciting achievement as he left us to focus on his Solo Show in San Francisco."
