James invited each of these other four artists to draw one of the principal characters for the film so he could incorporate it into the final poster.
The concept was derived from the idea of old punk rock flyers, or walls at grungy rock clubs where various flyers and artwork were just stapled and pasted one on top of another to create a menagerie of images.
