A series from Dark City Gallery, celebrating the very best of British Film and the key moments in British Cinema.
Artist Nick Rhodes created this poster for Ken Loach's 1969 British masterpiece 'Kes'. A film about Billy Casper, a 15-year-old working class boy, bullied at school and ignored and abused at home by his indifferent mother and older brother. Billy finally finds a positive purpose to his unhappy existence when he tames and trains his pet kestrel falcon.
A stunning design which faithfully captures the ecstasy and passion Billy felt when flying Kes, (his pet kestrel). "Kes was like a god to Billy" - Nick Rhodes
The poster comes in two editions, Autumn and Winter. Both editions were hand screen printed and include metallic ink.
