Todd Hido is a world renowned American artist that produces evocative portraits and landscapes.
"I took this picture close to the beginning of my House Hunting series. It was the first trip I had made back to Ohio, where I was looking at homes at night to shoot. I specifically went during the winter because I was curious of how shooting in the snow would effect my newly discovered process. As Roland Barthes has described in his writing, sometimes the subject of the photograph isn’t necessarily the most magical part. Although I have to say that I love the little chunks of snow on the lower right edge of the frame and how they captured the light in a different way, almost like blue cotton candy.” — Todd Hido
